The Sons of Issachar paid a courtesy visit to Douglas DODIYI-MANUEL On the 16th of April, 2018, officials of the Sons of Issachar paid a courtesy visit to Douglas DODIYI MANUEL. The visit was in recognition of his unrelenting promotion of the All Progressive Congress (APC) on the basis of the records and successes of the leader of the Party in the South South Region of Nigeria, and former Governor of Rivers State, Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi. Admitting that like every other person, CR Amaechi had his faults, but he insisted that the gains of the AMAECHI Administration are legacies that must be built upon. He also said that CR Amaechi won't be Governor again, and so it is futile to criticise him instead of building on his gains, indicating that the CR Amaechi Administration laid a foundation  that is advantageous to any successive Administration that can dare to be creative. According to DodMan, as he is fondly called on SOCIAL MEDIA, Rivers State is infrastructurally punctuated with memories of Amaechi, such that any well-meaning and visionary administration can easily ride upon.

On the 16th of April, 2018, officials of the Sons of Issachar paid a courtesy visit to Douglas DODIYI MANUEL.

Speaking on a Sector by Sector basis, he explained how easily the State Government can generate as much as N1b/ monthly from in the Transportation Sector and also gain a regulated and improved road culture.

On the Health Sector, DodMan explained the difference between Health Care, Medical Service and Medical Industry. He further stressed the need to strategically preserve the legacies of the former Governor of Rivers State, CR Amaechi. According to DodMan, tremendous developments are hinged of the legacies of the former Governor and Party Boss.

DodMan touched sectors such as Information, Education, Justice, Entertainment, etc, but the high point of the day was when he explained what he in constitutional parlance described as the Executive Functions of the Legislature with immediately reference to Youth Economic Development. He simplified industrialisation from the grassroots and explained the imperatives of legitimacy.

Startled by his vastness in Public Policy and Administration, the Group insisted that DodMan must find a place in elective politics. They further decided to portray DodMan in every Constituency in Rivers State as a yardstick of a contemporary statesman.

According the Chairman, Mr Diepiriye Ofor Tamunokiri who described DodMan as a Brain Box of Political Administration, every Constituency must simply insist on competence. He said, we cannot continue to sacrifice competence for mediocrity.

Mr Tamunokiri agreed with DodMan's assertion that certain political ambitions are dangerous to society. He wondered at the rationale of politicians who despite their patent incompetence insist on occupying sensitive offices that are beyond their capacity for pecuniary gains, thereby wasting precious time and scarce resources. He reinforced DodMan's postulation that within 4yrs, a University student is expected to graduate with a degree, that that is the volume of time that could easily be wasted in a mediocre administration. He also challenged the Kalabari people with specific reference to AKULGA/ASALGA Federal Constituency, to set up a committee and appraise the representative performance of the present Member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing the constituency.

In further lamentation, he stressed that the time has come for our people to take time factor seriously, that a political leader that imposes a mediocre on you cannot be a friend.

He further took a swipe at the Senator representing Rivers West, indicating that against the yardstick of the Public Policy analysis of immediately rendered by DodMan, his sojourn to the Senate couldn't immediately be described as successful.

The group further requested to know DodMan's immediate political pursuit. Declining to be definite, he stressed that upon joining the APC, he resolved within himself to submit to the leadership of Rt Hon CR Amaechi. He further stressed that he is immediately under a mandate to help his leader, CR Amaechi build and strengthen the Party, and that is what is of immediate importance. He adviced the group not to fall for the distractions of early politicking, and gave an assurance that by the time politics legally resumes by INEC timetable, his Party, the APC will be formidable and prepared to rescue Rivers State from what he described as the presently prevalent perils of an invidious, ignominious and inept administration.

While they were still sitted, another contingent of patriotic citizens arrived for a courtesy call. At the end of the visit, they evidently contracted the palpable passions of DodMan, as selected members of the Sons of Issachar took group photographs with DodMan.

The Sons of Issachar is collection of ideologically motivated people across Rivers State. They understand the times we're in, and so they prayed that DodMan's resolves to take his place in the Nigerian POLITICS.

DOUGLAS Dodiyi-Manuel is an eminent pride of Kalabari.
