The Rivers State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress ( APC) , took the weekend to celebrate her leader who doubles as the Honorable Minister of Transportation Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.
The events which started on Friday with the presentation of relieve materials to Internally Displaced Persons ( members ) from Ogba / Egbema / Ndoni LGA. Food as well as other important commodities were presented .
On Saturday morning, members and leaders of the party gathered at Aztec Acrium for a lecture with the theme " A man ahead of his time ", speakers took turns to talk and explain how Amaechi has been a bedrock of the change revolution around the country, they also took time to speak deeply about his person and nature. Attendees include : Hon Solomon Simon lalong (Governor of Plateau State) , Dr Dakuku Peterside (DG NIMASA), Mr Nsima Ekere ( MD Niger Delta Development Commission), Hon Umana Uman ( MD Gas Free Zone ) Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs, Chief Davies Ikanya ( Chairman APC Rivers State ) , and other leaders.
On Saturday evening guests were treated to cool music and cuisine. Leaders and top members of the APC wined and dined with the minister and his wife, they also had the opportunity to speak about his person.
The celebration was crowned with a thanks giving service at Christ The King Catholic Church , Port Harcourt were the leader of the Party, his wife, leaders and members alike thanked God for a successful celebration .
