Massive Defection hit PDP...
As the Lion or f Niger Delta roars in Ogoni..
A semblance of carnival was experience in Ogoni land Sunday, 18th June, 2017, as the creme de la creme of Ogonis converge in wait for the Leader of APC Rivers State and Niger Delta at large. It was a programme to receive defectors who were long tired with the ruling cum looting party in Rivers State, upon arrival and received in company of APC bigwigs is the National Assistance Secretary of APC, Chief Victor Tombari Giadom.
Speaking at the occasion, while welcoming Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, Victor Giadom said the people of Ogoni can no longer be cowed by the serial lies of Wike and his PDP led government in Rivers State, the former commissioner for Works and former director general of Greater Together campaign organisation said Ogonis are more than committed to the course of joining forces with the leader of the Party to reposition Rivers State for better service delivery and governance, he said Governance should be about the people first by protecting lives and properties which is vehemently lacking under Gov. Wike. In his words "our leader you are here today for a very serious business of receiving our people who were once in the dark and have now seen the light and have decided to follow the light. Leader you are a light", he added. On their parts representatives of MOSOP, a socio political organisation of Ogoni people said, they decided to align with Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi with the Government at the centre who has drawn a road map for the development of Ogoni which in its first year on assumption of office approved the UNEP Report on the cleaning up of Ogoni land which was not done for 16 years of the PDP in Nigeria. Adding that time has come to change the bad Government of PDP in Rivers State.
Receiving the defectors into the APC family, the Leader Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi said, APC is built on good governance, equity, fairness and justice, which according to him is the bed rock of government with the heart of the people.
He said the APC and President Buhari's administration is more than ready to bring dividends of democracy to the grassroots, which has been exemplified by the approval of the UNEP Report and subsequent approval of $1bl take off funds. The Lion who widely believed as the man ahead of his time, thanked Ogoni people for identifying with APC and admonished the defectors and the entire APC family to be steadfast, prayerful and keep hope alive as the party will take over Brick House come 2019.
The defectors were therefore receive into the Party by the leader and Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi. Some Ogoni bear their minds that, the massive defection of Ogoni people was a birthday batch for the Leader who is in the State in commemoration of his 52nd Birthday celebration.
