Though painful, l have to force myself to embrace Wike and Glory Emeh the mastermind of the botched political espionage and their collaborative assertions of Amaechi's unbecoming attitude in National governance and the attendant personality threat to them.
Amaechi has displayed so much patriotic traits at a time he was supposed to be cowed by our treachery, betrayals, malicious name flogging and orchestrated internal mayhem. Haba, is this Amaechi some sort of ghost? We must pull him down and bring his structures to ruin by infiltration or any vicious means necessary and possible.
For those soakers who picked debilitated joy with this narrative's earlier paragraphs. Whoever told you that Amaechi has an attitude that is unbecoming of a patriot, comes from the planet of the "worms". Sometimes, greed and fury inadvertently drives destructive critics to unexplainable self captivity.
Its not all about Glory Emeh renting some farmers and hunters labelling them APC members, nor is it about political espionage. It is about resilience and integrity.
This is how Amaechi's unbecoming attitude in governance and politics took root among the brook of developmental uncertainty.
Whether you like it or not, there is an inspirational aura that seems to be peculiar to human greatness. Which Glory Emeh and his paymaster lacks. This uncommon aura radiates from the deepest part of his existence, as if, it projects and illuminates the very essence of his great person. The rare attitude can not be forged or faked. Unarguably, Amaechi's attitude does not advertise itself, it is powerful enough to gag you never to forget it in time. The legendary Amaechi, is a splendid aberration from PDP's kind of vicious politicking, take that to the bank.
Have you ever witnessed Amaechi's vigorous self when reciprocating to transformation blueprint of the Nigerian State under his Ministry?. Have you taken time to compare this disposition with his boy, "wike". You will agree with me that, twilight has surely arrived for one of the most outstanding leaders of the post- colonial epoch. Call me names on this, l won't give a hoot.
Much have been said and written about this remarkable man. Concerning his outstanding cerebral capability, his private thrift and self-discipline and his uncanny ability to foresee historical developments in a country trying to breakout of the gridlock of corruption and underdevelopment, which is characterising Rivers State presently. Amaechi indubitably has become an iconic figure, the legendary talisman for rapid transformation.
However, it must be told that, Amaechi has became essentially marvellous and magnificent anachronism. Rivers State simply can not make leaders like him in this time. Don't make faces at me, please.
Amaechis's positive attitude and its potency gave rise to little leaders with little understanding of the historical process that threw them up. He had "Ndidi" (perseverance) which he graciously combined with his prodigious intellect, with an iron will and crystal clear vision of where he wanted the transportation sector with remarkable aplomb.
