President Muhammadu Buhari has assured potential foreign investors that the current economic challenge the country is facing, has created vast investment opportunities.
The President gave the assurance yesterday, to a large gathering of political and business leaders from the United States, Africa and other regions of the world at the Second United States-Africa Business Forum in New York.
He said Nigeria would soon be one of the most attractive places to invest as his administration has embarked on significant economic reforms to realise the goal.
According to him, the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council headed by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, would soon come out with wide-ranging business environment reforms on ports, visa-on arrival, improving the speed and efficiency of land titling and business registration.
In the same vein, President Muhammadu Buhari has invited the United Nation to negotiate with Boko Haram to end their seven-year insurgency and secure the release of the more than 200 schoolgirls abducted from Chibok.
He said he was willing to swap Boko Haram fighters in custody for the girls. But he said it was difficult to know who within Boko Haram after splits in its leadership emerged this year.
President Buhari, who opined that he will welcome intermediaries such as UN outfits, to step in said Government had reached out, ready to negotiate, but it became difficult to identify credible leaders.
He was speaking on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.
