We have carefully read the communique of the Southern Governors rolled out after their last meeting in Lagos where they stated that Presidency should be zoned to the South in 2023.
To us as Youths in the South South Region, the choice of who becomes the President of Nigeria in 2023 will not and can't be achieved by a mere imagination as demonstrated by the Southern Governors.
The ancession to the Apex Political Office in Nigeria is via voting as enshrined in our Constitution and not by any form of proclamation or figment of the desire of some group of people.
We the Youths in the South South Region, have identified competence and generational shift of power as the way to go in 2023, and not by zoning.
Remember, the Youths accounts for over 60% of the Population size of Nigeria based on the last Census exercise. In the vein, the Youths constitute about 70% of the voting population of the Country according to INEC. Based on these facts, any call for the Presidency in 2023 without considering competence and generational shift of power, we won't be part of it.
We are tired of the antics of the Older Politicians that do not mean well for us, as their aim is to still remain in Power at the detriment of we the Youths who they claim that are the Leaders of tomorrow.
The "tommorow" which they all agree that we are the Leader is in 2023, and we have a Youth in the person of Governor Yahaha Bello of Kogi State which we will all support irrespective of his Geo-Political Zone, Ethnicity, Tribe or Religion.
As a formidable and an unbiased Group in the South South Region, the GYB2PYB MOVEMENT will see the light of the day in 2023, so let's to be distracted by the "unholy alliance" of any Group of these so called Leaders because it's effort in futility as the interest of the Youths and the overall growth and development of the Country are not part of their interest which they have displayed over time.
The GYB2PYB MOVEMENT that has been widely accepted in the Country is what we represent and will continuosly stand by it as no figment of mere imagination of the Southern Governors will deter us in pursuing and liberating ourselves from agents of Political backwardness in the Country.
