RIVERS POLITICS: FREEDOM HOUSE COLLAPSE AS ABBEY'S CAMP DEPLETES - ANONYMOUS

Rivers state is known to be one of the fiercest political battle fields of Nigeria politics since 1999 when democracy was entrenched in the country. The recent fact ionization of the main opposition party in the state is giving many a concern for worry whether the ruling APC can make any impact in the state in the forthcoming 2019 general elections.

Barely few months ago since the prodigal son erected his freedom house in the GRA area of Port Harcourt. The very pillars that supported the cause are shaking as we speak; the renegades are returning back home to what was once their true political haven. (AMAECH). It was not clear why the very energetic Bari Imbigi dumped Abbey’s freedom house struggle but sources have revealed that he has experienced firsthand the visionlessness and ideological depravity of the Magnus Abbey’s camp and is seeking an audience and redemption with Amaechi. It was the wisdom to guide against being lost in the woods of Rivers politics that has seen a massive decamping of Abbey’s Lieutenants back to the Amaechi’s APC among whom is Dr. Mike Nwielaghi an Ogoni son and frontline campaigner for Sen.  M. Abbey’s  political self-determination or what some may refer to as political suicide by his flagrant show of arrogance towards the leadership of the Rivers APC.

While Bari Mbigi yet languished in self-inflicted political obscurity, Dr Nwielaghi is robing shoulders and taking selfies with the newly inaugurated party state chairman Bar Ojukaye Amachree and the leader of Rivers APC and Hon. Min of Transport, RT Hon. Chibuike Ritimi Amaechi in Abuja.
Fact is that, those who should know have confessed that the freedom house is a den of toothless roaring lions and a sinking ship whose structure cannot stand the test of the opposition’s wind to come.

Dr Mike Nwielaghi use to be Magnus Abbey’s strongest confidant. The only option for Mr Abbey now will be to survive or become the ridicule in the lampoon of Rivers 2019 elections. I will advise him to choose the former which may entails reconciling with his principal, i.e. beg for forgiveness and accept to go through the mandatory purging and cleansing necessary to grant him humblest of positions within the party. But the question begs; Is he man enough? That will be a topic for another day.
