It is no longer news that there might be some internal ranglings within the Rivers APC. Speculations and counter accusations are flying around between supporters of the distinguished Senator Magnus Abe and other APC apologists over the forth coming gubernatorial primaries in the state.
One question that has continually beg for answers is if the distinguished Senator would dump the party if he loosed the sole ticket to flag the party ‘s flag at the 2019 elections. In a popular radio interview program aired this morning on Silverbird’s 93.7FM, Sen. Abe assures that it was never in his plans to contemplate such thinking. He went further to reiterate his resolve to champion the cause of the APC irrespective of the final outcome of his self-determination.
Yes he must have ruffled some feathers in the manner with which he went about it, but some people believed that the respected Senator as demonstrated the strength of character others lack to pursue their dreams in spite of very powerful oppositions. The Politikas also gathered that a truce is in the offing to reconcile the various factions within the party soon.
In a swift response a caller to the programme applauded the Senator and said, “Senator Abe is, and will continue to be a strong pillar within the party’s leadership and it will be a noble thing if all involved would demonstrate the true party man character of Abe and move the Rivers APC forward”.
But staying true to his promise to peacefully resolve the present misunderstanding, Rt Hon. Rotimi Amaechi in a recent interview said his Rivers APC is not under any crisis and the distinguished Senator is a frontline member and a strong confidant in the state’s party structure. TO BE CONTINUED...
