AS NIGERIA MARKS ITS DEMOCRACY DAY! - ICD Calls on Government at all levels to live up to expectations of the people. -Urges Rivers State government To Step-Up Its Game In Governance And Reposition The State For The Better.

Democracy generally is believed to be the best form of government because it is seen to be a system that rests on the head, shoulders, knees and toes of the people. May 29 of every year indicates the restoration of democracy in our dear country Nigeria. In commemoration of the democracy day, the Initiative For Change & Development  admonishes that as we approach the 2019 electioneering period, our teeming youths should dissociate themselves from all forms of political and electoral violence. Let us all approach any INEC office around,  registered to get the permanent voters card PVC and become eligible voters in the forthcoming 2019 general elections.

We urge government at all levels, particularly states to live up to expectations of the people in the delivery of democratic dividends. Take Rivers State for instance, the questions that will always struck ones mind are;
*What  is happening to our before now existing free education?
*What about our free overseas scholarship?
*Where has our free health services gone to?
*What has happened to our before now existing agrarian investment(Shongai Farm, etc)?
*What about our used-to-be clean and healthy environment?
To that regard, we call on the Rivers State government to step-up its game in governance and reposition the state for the better. We urge the people of Rivers State and Nigeria at large to get involve in politics as it is one of the veritable recipes and strategies for development of any society.
