I have written three books in honor of Governor Emeritus, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, who is the FIRST Minister of Transportation in Nigeria (others has been ministers of Transport not Transportation).
The first book is tittled: ABSOLUTELY UNSTOPABLE (2009), foreword by Hon. Ogbonna Nwuke. The second book is titled: WINNING POLITICAL STRUGGLES (2010), foreword by late Amb. Ignatius Ajuru. The third book is titled: AMAECHI -THE SYMBOL OF CHANGE AND LEADERSHIP, foreword by HE Emeka Anyaoku ( fmr Secretary, Commonwealth).
Therefore I must claim to have a fair knowledge of the enigma called AMAECHI, considering these levels of research work on him.
One key unique attribute of HE CRA is the capability to raise and make young people men of substance. At the last count, most of all the political gladiators today, all graduated from AMAECHI POLITICAL ACADEMY(ACA) From Wike to Magnus Abe, Dakuku, Omehia, Austine Opara, Ojukaye, Okey Amadi, Maureen Tamuno, Worgu Boms, Ezemonye Ezikiel Amadi, Chidi loyed and several hundred others across Rivers State and Nigeria. I was not surprised when a state Governor, during his last birthday told the world that AMAECH made him the governor of his state.
It is also not news that most of those he helped to rise to power and fame has become his greatest betrayals and opposition. That is not the subject and object of this write up. Let’s reserve the beast in man for another day.
Today, we are looking at Amaechi’s grace and capacity to transform, translate and upgrade the downtrodden youths to the pinnacle of power. Just recently, precisely a week ago, the appointment of my friend and brother, Marshal Israel jolted and reverberated the entire progressive family in Rivers State. Marshal Israel, appointed as a Federal Commissioner, Federal Complain Commission???
Before now, such positions were solely reserved for the high and mighty. What a repeated story of Joseph, from the prison to the palace. Marshal Israel, from nobody to somebody, courtesy of HE CRA. HE CRA, on behalf of the teeming youths of Rivers State, I thank you for recognizing my kinsman for such a notable federal appointment. The progressive youth family of which you are our leader emeritus is happy with your leadership. The youths of Etche, of which I represent are happy with your leadership. We love you. Meka sir. Chika o. Kaa nka. Congratulations Marsh. The best is yet to come.
