The Initiative For Change & Development (ICD) commends the Niger-Delta Commission(NDDC) on it's decision to start recovering funds from defaulters.
The socio-political & development group (ICD) frowns at the negligence attitude of some NDDC contractors, declaring that such trait encourages desolation and underdevelopment of the communities in the Niger-Delta area, it undermines the competence of the management of the commission.
Recovery and withdrawal of funds from defaulters will help overhaul the system interms of delivery on the side of contractors.
Interventionist agency like NDDC is set-out to help the federal government of Nigeria drive development to the people of Niger-Delta. To that regard, if the commission does not set the ball rolling interms of checkmating it's contractors in other for adequate delivery, failure becomes the story and if it fails, it then means that the federal government has not done well.
The ICD declares full support for the NDDC's decision to recover funds from defaulters, urges the commission to plaugh recovered funds back into meaningful development projects within the Niger-Delta region.
