GOVERNOR WIKE'S MOCKERY MISTAKES AND AMAECHI'S VINDICATION: Part (2) our confiscated oil wells; Wike's Mea Culpa and Litmus Test. Written by Rowland Orlu

The part one of this narrative was published on THISDAY National Newspaper of Friday September 23rd, 2016. That article captured to an extent, the Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi's selfless efforts to improve the lives of the people of those Communities and also generate revenue for Rivers State's infrastructural development.  But those laudable efforts of a patriotic man were truncated by Federal impunity, during the inglorious administration of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, as he was then. When impunity and lawlessness held sway for his boys, chiefly amongst them, the Minister of State for Education, Chief Barr Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike as he then was, and presently the Governor of the same Rivers State he connived with his master GEJ to deny her of her oil wells.

No society has ever developed without dynamic mindset of the people and leaders.
The leader and the people proffer solutions to trending matters and look beyond callous politics to ensuring better future through attitudinal changes; positive mindset towards development and revenue generation. Rivers State is presently losing Billions in revenue as a result of those Oil wells GEJ arrogated to his home State, Akwa lbom and Abia States. It was a starchy and stuff act of contrition. Now my question to his Excellency is, where is the chicken and where is the egg?.

When the patriot, CRA let out an outcry, that Wike was mortgaging the existence of posterity. By advertently giving GEJ the push, some of the actors recoiled. Their political instincts forbade them to upbraid their fellow craftsman, sentiment predated reason. They were caught napping, and their integrity started falling short.

The current state of the Rivers State economy is not one to be proud of and it seems to be getting worst as time passes by. It is safe to say,  every Rivers man and woman is waiting for a miracle to happen in a State that presently has no huge revenue reliant base given the fact that, the same man who is now the Governor, many years ago betrayed and assisted the elsewhile
President to cede our rich oil wells to Bayelsa, Akwa lbom, and Abia in exchange for political power.

May l remind the Governor of his preelection promise " l will ensure that all Rivers State Oil wells ceded to our sister States, are fully recovered".

That pronouncement didn't surprise the generality of Rivers People though, hence the mountain of questions were raised thus; Were these not the same Oil wells, Chief Nyesom Wike as then Minister of Education co-joined with Former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to persecute Amaechi for?, was it not for the same Oil wells that Godsday Orubebe said all sorts of stinking trash against Rt Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi?, while Wike and his colony applauded Orubebe and others?.

Between June and July, 2012. Rt Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi still voiced his fear about GEJ zeal to further annihilate Rivers people because of his (Amaechi) guest for development and the callous politicization of the Oil wells.

Fate has finally brought the Litmus test upon His Excellency, Chief Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike, the Executive Governor of Rivers State. It is time to fulfill your electoral promise of retrieving those Oil wells you graciously supported GEJ to confiscate out of mere political callousness. You have the Constitutional right now to legally fight for the wealth of Rivers people, like your boss, CRA vigorously did.

This is your Mea Culpa and Litmus test for the urgent retrieval of our Oil wells from Bayelsa, Akwa lbom and Abia States.
Rivers people want you to legally fight for our oil wells and bring them back. I wish you all the luck.
