On behalf of all the candidates of the APC, myself, Dr. Barinaadaa Mpigi, Hon. Maurice Poronen, Dr. Innocent Barikor, Hon. Fenco, Hon. Romnsan Dressman, Hon. Sampson Egop... On behalf of all of us, candidates of the APC, we want to thank the people of this senatorial district for your support. That in 24 hours, APC can turn out this number of people at this time, it is nothing but a demonstration of your love for this party.

Your excellency... I will only make two sentences and then will invite our leader to come and speak to you.

First is to say, that everything that we've been looking for, because APC is in power, because Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi is right in the centre of government, the Ogoni people can get all the things that we have been fighting for.

Because of the suffering of our people, OMPADEC was set-up, it became NDDC. From that day till today, no Ogoni man has been part of the management. But because of Amaechi, because of Buhari, because of APC, today an Ogoni man is part of the management of the NDDC.

21 years ago, Ken Saro Wiwa was hung because he was asking that Ogoni land has been polluted and it should be cleaned up. For 21 years, we have been crying, holding vigils, writing petitions, going to meetings, doing everything. Even when our own "son" was president, he told a group of Ogoni people that he was going to help us. We did not get any help.

But today, because of APC, because of Buhari, because of Amaechi, that thing we were all crying for, it is today that it is happening. It means that the future of Ogoni, the future of the Niger Delta, the future of Nigerians is save with this people in control. We must therefore vote for the APC.

Having said that, your excellency, let me with every respect and humility, invite you, our leader, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.
