President Buhari has invited a Niger Delta group, the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PNDF), to a meeting in Abuja on Saturday, 29th of October. PNDF was formed on Friday, 7th October, 2016, as a result of a merger between the Niger Delta Contact and Dialogue Group and the Pan Niger-Delta Coastal States Consultative Forum. PNDF is co-chaired by Obong Victor Atah and King Alfred Diette-Spiff, with Ledum Mitee as secretary. The coalition recently convened by Amaechi and traditional chiefs oil producing areas are also a part of the delegation that will meet with the president. Buhari is looking for a lasting solution to crises in the Niger Delta region without compromising his stance on the anti-corruption war of his administration.
