ANOTHER ASUU-NDU STRIKE LOOMING

Another yet but necessary ASUU NDU strike is looming as one party to the agreement signed/entered has reneged in the agreement reached.

Unconfirmed reports or information has it that, the Academic Staff Union of Universities ( ASUU ), Niger Delta University Chapter will soon embarked on another industrial action due to the non-payment of staffs salaries going to seven (7) months now.

You could remember, the Academic Staff Union of Universities ( ASUU ), NDU embarked on an industrial action it's union referred to as "Active Non Compliance" as a result of the refusal of the Bayelsa state government to pay staffs of the university their emolument which then resulted to the four (4) months old strike and which was latter called off after the union and government came to agreement where the both parties signed a pact.

However, surprisingly, after that agreement which sees to the end of the strike the government has failed to perform or carry out it our part of the agreement and now leading to assumptions from some quarters from staffs of the university who spoke in anonymity, that they will soon embark on another strike seems the government is taking them for granted.
