Confusion over national PDP convention in Port Harcourt There is confusion over whether the planned national convention of the Peoples Democratic Party would take place as scheduled following the worsening conflict in the party. As at 12:20pm on Saturday, the convention, scheduled to take place in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital had yet to commence with thousands of party members at a loss over what would happen. Our correspondent gathered that stakeholders of the party were holding a last minute meeting at the Government House in Rivers. At the Sharks Stadium, a huge crowd had streamed into the sports facility waiting for the national convention to commence.
