In every Developed Country, peace and harmionus coexistence is the shortest and safest pathway to its development.
Given this known fact, we as a Rotionale and Unbaised Group in the Niger Delta Region will continue to preach peace in the Niger Delta Region which we have identified as the surest and safest route for the rapid developmental process we all clamour for.
"As the saying goes, Peace is Priceless while Terror is Senseless", this should be at the back of the mind of every individual in our Region.
In the Niger Delta Region all we need is development both Infrastructural & Human and that was the major reason the Niger Delta Development Commission was established to fast track the developmental process of the Region by the Federal Government.
Drawing from this, I humbly call on our people of the Region to encourage this present Interim Administrator of NDDC in pursuant of this objective. Yes, no man has the Monopoly of Knowledge, that is why constant positive and sincere intellectual engagement is required so the Interim Administrator will work in line with the aspirations of the good people of the Niger Delta Region.
I will also suggest that from time to time, the Interim Administrator should pause and peep into the hearts of the people of our Great Region to see if he is meeting up with their expectations.
We know this can not be easily achieved without the support and the encouragement of all of us in the Region. In view of this, we humbly suggest that Stakeholders engagements should be encouraged so the aspirations of each and every part of the Region will be brought on the table for intellectual discuss and implementation timely, and ensure that the projects are tailored towards development of the Region.
Again, another important category of stakeholders that contributes to the smooth process are the Staffs. We will humbly suggest that the Interim Administrator should also encourage and challenge the Staffs to do their jobs well, because a happy Man is a more productive Man.
In the light of this, we wish to congratulate this present Interim Administrator for the great feat he has achieved by midwifing the successful commissioning of its Headquarters in Port Harcourt. This is a major achievement and a big plus to the Region as this building can favourably compete with other big office buildings in other parts of Nigeria.
With this New Headquarters in the Region, directly or indirectly it will lead to increase in Job Creation as more hands and manpower will be needed for effective and efficient running of the place. It will also attract smaller and medium size businesses in the areas, and this alone is employment generation which will help in curbing youth restiveness in our area.
Given all these, we humbly advocate for a peaceful approach and engagement by all concerned when making demands or requests from the Commission and the Commission should also tailor their Projects to actual development to touch the lives of the common Man in the Niger Delta Region.
With this, we know a peaceful and harmionus working relationship will fast track the developmental process of our Great Region and we call on all Youths/Ethnic Groups/Stakeholders to allow peace reign in the region as peace is the fastest pace of development.
