When I see how Cities are developed in Foreign Countries, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi comes to my mind.
The Greater Port Harcourt City Project initiated and kick started by the immediate past Governor of Rivers State could have solved so many problems in Port Harcourt associated with Garden City congestion.
The Greater Port Harcourt City Project was designed to create a NEW CITY that is a world class standard with all 21st Century social amenities. I doubt if this present State Government is continuing that project, if No, then we Rivers People have missed the enjoyment associated with modern day development.
Even in terms of Education, the School buildings are the replica of what I see abroad. These Schools were designed to enhance effective teaching & learning.
Free Education for our Primary and Secondary School Kids/Students were the order of the day. I also strongly doubt if these are still enjoyed by our Public School Kids.
In view of this, and if we truly want Rivers State to be developed which was the major plans of the last administration, we have to get it right during the 2019 Election in the State.
Let's use our tongue to count our teeth.
Go and register and get your Permanent Voters' Card, because our Votes must be counted in Rivers State in 2019, and not like that of 2015.
