Today is the first day in the month of December, the last month of the year, and a month of festivities. Many things will be pleasurable about this month, but one thing that certainly didn't give me any pleasure today was the way I woke this morning. Nyesom Wike was shouting on the radio, his voice was so rough you would think he swallowed a python. He woke me from sleep and robbed me of my quiet time. He was making noise about an alleged plot to arrest PDP members. And in pidgin English he threatened to cause violence if PDP members are arrested.

But then, I want to ask, is there anywhere it is written in our constitution that PDP members are immune to arrest? If a PDP member breaks the law, or conspire to break the law, or hangs around with wanted suspects, then he will be arrested and heaven will not fall. We are not unaware that most people the PDP used to rig election, the people the governor is referring to as PDP members, are actually wanted criminals who hide in the forest. If they sneak out of their hole on election day, or any other day preceding the election, then they will also be arrested and heaven will not fall. If you're suspected to be a violent man who has ever boasted to have a number of "our boys", then you will also be arrested and heaven will not fall.

Nyesom Wike is wasting his breath barking like a mad dog... But can the shakara of the hen ever stop the hawk from preying? No, if anything, it would only spur him on the more.

Sometimes I wonder why the memory of this governor is so short, almost as small as that of a hen. He forget things easily, and the only thing he remembers is how to shout at the image of his own shadows chasing him. Wike has forgotten how Hon. Emma Deeyah and other APC members were arrested before the 2015 election. He has forgotten how Ojukaye was arrested and imprisoned for several months until recently. He does not remember the unlawful imprisonment of Atonye Peterside that happened a few weeks ago. Like I said, the only thing Wike's memory remember is the image of his own shadows chasing him, so whenever he shouts, you should know that it is the memory of his own past hunting him.

After all the threats of fire and brimstone in Ondo, we ended up having one of the most peaceful elections in Nigeria. It was the same story in Edo... Why don't Wike tell us the whereabouts of the 6,000 "our boys" he sent to Edo? Parents and families who have any member of "our boys" missing should go and ask the governor where they are. The Nigerian security agencies have now developed a brand that touts cannot shout at. Our youths should be wise, they shouldn't allow themselves be used by people who enjoy immunity. If he wants to cause violence, then he should do so with his own children. But at the end of the day, all criminals and potential criminals, whether PDP members or not, will be arrested and heaven will not fall.
