THE ASSASSINATION OF BARR. KEN ATSUWETE: MR. SAMUEL NWANOSIKE FINGERED.
A notable and Human rights lawyer, Barr. Ken Atsuwete has been assassinated.
Reports has it that he was kidnapped at his residence early hours of today and few hours later his lifeless body was found in a nearby community known as rumuchilor aluu.
The Rivers State Police Command has also confirmed the report.
Until his death, he was the lawyer handling the case of the Rivpoly lecturers that were unilaterally sacked by Gov. Wike in 2015 at the National Industrial Court, Yenagoa. He is also the lawyer handling the unlawful detention and prosecution of Hon. Ojukaye Flag Amachree by Gov. Wike.
Information available to us has it that he had on saturday, 27th August 2016, during a call-in programme on 95.1Fm, accused Mr. Samuel Nwanosike of being the mastermind of an Order of Court against the declaration of Tai election result.
The said Samuel Nwanosike is the CTC chairman of Ikwerre LGA and state PRO of PDP and is well known to be sponsoring criminals in the area.
Barr. Ken, until his untimely death, residences in Aluu, under Ikwerre Local Government Area, and was alleged to have severally complained of threats to his life by some high ranking personalities in the PDP.
