"NDPM SHOWERS PRAISES ON MRS. IBIM SEMINETARI OVER THE SWIFT INTERVENTION ON THE RECOVERY OF CALABAR/ITU ROAD":
The Niger Delta People's Movement wish to thank Mrs. Ibim Seminetari, the acting MD/CEO of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), on her swift intervention on the recovery of the Calabar/Itu road in less than two weeks after she visited the road to ascertain the level of damage on the road.
The Calabar/Itu road is of great economic importance to the people of the Niger Delta region and the NDDC Boss intervened speedily following the call from the executive governor of Cross River State, Professor Ben Ayade calling on the NDDC to come to the aid of motorists plying the road.
The recovery section spanning about 86 kilometres upon completion will restore its usability until when the federal government is expected to commence the total reconstruction of the road.
Mrs. Ibim Seminetari's tenure has shown great and positive impact on the people of Niger Delta region, especially on road construction and other meaningful projects.
