PRESS RELEASE:APC IN BAYELSA STATE.

PRESS RELEASE

Some members of the state working committee of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Bayelsa State has disassociated themselves from comments credited to the party's chairman Tiwei Orunimighe, accusing leader of the party in the state, Chief Timipre Sylva of selling slots of federal appointments.

In a statement released in Yenagoa and signed on behalf of them by the State Organizing Secretary of the party, Sir Tonye Okio, they said the allegation is unfounded, baseless and does not hold any substance and asked Bayelsans to disregard it.
The statement noted that Tiwei's action is as a result of his greed and insatiable quest to grab juicy positions like the Executive Secretary of the Local Content Development Board which he cannot handle.
Okio maintained that a few bad eggs like Tiwei and his lost secretary, Daniel Malin cannot hold the APC in Bayelsa to ransom, pointing out that appropriate disciplinary actions would be taken against them in due course.
He reaffirmed the commitment and loyalty of the leadership of the party to Sylva, describing him as a symbol of integrity who will not stoop so low to trade key positions as alleged by the enemies of the party.
