Rattled by a morbid fear of losing on the electoral battlefield, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has imported truckloads of PDP social media goons and vile vuvuzelas from all over the states of Nigeria into a luxury hotel in Port Harcourt, from where they are heavily paid to besiege the blogosphere with lies, distortions, uncooked propaganda and wild insinuations about the rerun elections taking place in Rivers State today.

The Governor who had only days ago stated that "Rivers people are not on Facebook" has depleted the common wealth of Rivers State to the tune of 80 million naira to minister to the ravenous appetite of these misguided young Nigerians to lie and bamboozle unsuspecting members of the public with all manner of falsehood against the Nigerian State, INEC, its staff, the army, the police, the DSS and all other security agencies involved in the Rivers rerun.

Already, all manner of spins and wild allegations have been dishonestly concocted by this online army of mischief. They have written badly spelt tweets accusing NNDC(sic) of taking 7 billion naira from the Central Bank of Nigeria for the use of Rivers APC; they have used an image of a plane uploading electoral materials in the Port Harcourt International Airport to say that CBN is bankrolling APC with 5 billion naira; they have used the photo of Wike's army of hoodlums arrested by the Nigerian army and displayed with weapons to lie that Amaechi's SA was arrested with weapons. They have told lies about the army and police, accusing them of arresting PDP members in Rivers State when no one has been arrested.

All these they have done to be seen to have earned the 80 million naira of Rivers resources Wike lavished on them.

Leading the team of irresponsible liars are Deji Adeyanju, Sola Kuti, Prince Henry Nwazuruahu, Malik Shabazz amongst others.

These misguided youths are not Rivers citizens, they are not resident in Rivers State and do not have ballot in any of the 23 LGAs of the state. Their primary assignment in Rivers State is to lie and deceive Nigerians. To muddled the discourse about the election with falsehood and do all manner of spins while they smile to the bank as alerts of Rivers scarce resources hit their phones in this period of economic recession.

Nigerians and citizens of the world at large are hereby put on notice about the nefarious activities of these irresponsible vuvuzelas and asked to jettison, ignore, despise, discountenance all the falsehood they have been purchased to peddle.

As far as the Rivers rerun election is concerned, this purposeless young men are total strangers to the truth.

You have been warned! Don't allow them beguile you!
