INEC MAY AGAIN SHIFT BAYELSA RESCHEDULED GUBER ELECTION TO END OF FEBRUARY.

BREAKING NEWS!!! INEC MAY AGAIN SHIFT BAYELSA RESCHEDULED GUBER ELECTION TO END OF FEBRUARY The much expected inconclusive governorship election rescheduled to hold Saturday this week may again be postponed. According to an impeccable source close to INEC office in Abuja disclosed this in confidence that the candidates at the election may be shocked at the announcement of the planned poll shift. The decision to shift the poll may not be unconnected with intelligence reports inundated the INEC office and office of the various security agencies over the massive deployment of arms and militants by a political party to unleash violence at the Southern Ijaw area and the various cancelled units across six LGAs where elections have been rescheduled to hold. According to the source, 'with the disturbing signals about violence at the poll the decision to postpone the election is 95 percent concluded except the parties on their own have a change of attitude and assure INEC of violence-free election'. If INEC carries out its decision to postpone the election to the end of February, means that the chances of Gov. Seriake Dickson staying in office during the election will not be feasible as his tenure must have expired by then as the Speaker of the State House of Assembly will automatically be sworn-in as Acting governor of the state pending the conclusion of the election. One of the petitions sighted at the INEC office was specifically against the PDP candidate at the election, incumbent Gov. Seriake Dickson being accused of a number of things by an organization known as BAYELSA FOR CREDIBLE ELECTION, BFCE. The organization unequivocally accused Gov. Dickson of mobilising miscreants to the nook and crannies of where elections will be held ahead of the election day to hijack election materials and rig it. The organization also disclosed plans by the governor to use the state-own Radio Station and a private Radio Station owned by a PDP stalwart in the senate to announce fake results prepared by the PDP and its agents at the INEC and incite their supporters to react against any other genuine result to be announced by INEC . The organization further accused the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr Kpagih Baritor of working hands in gloves with the PDP candidate to achieve what it described as 'Unholy sinister agenda by an electoral umpire that is supposed to be independent and unbiased'. They therefore called on INEC to without further delay keep the REC at arms lenght over the conduct of the election in Bayelsa state. The organization further stated that the governor of Bayelsa state in a desperate bid to win the election had imported native doctors from different parts of the country including some Pastors and assembled them in government House for incantations to cause disaffection in the APC camp of former governor Timipre Sylva and hypnotize INEC to work towards its favour . BFCE in its petition described the move as wicked and called on INEC to reject whatever refreshments in the name of courtesy visit to the governor during their stay in the state to conduct the election.
