Below is the result collated and returned by the Southern Ijaw INEC returning officer, but was cancelled by the Resident Electoral Commissioner allegedly at the instruction of outgoing Gov. Dickson.
Below is the Southern Ijaw Result:
APC = 80,499 votes.
PDP = 8,602 votes.
Total Votes in all LGAs in Bayelsa state:
APC = 153,093.
PDP = 114,350.
In Ekeremor, a serving Minister, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri was almost killed by the PDP ringing killer squad in his hometown in Ekeremor LGA. Several APC supporters were injured, some were killed, yet the Ekeremor election was not canceled.
